Run the analysis automatically once a day at the chosen time, so the knowledge map is fresh without anyone pressing Update Analysis. The time is interpreted in the selected time zone. If the application is offline at the scheduled time, that day's run is skipped and the schedule resumes at the next window.

The analysis watches how long each person has been absent from every connected source at once. Silence longer than the period chosen here is read as a departure: an end date is proposed for that person and waits on the Knowledge Holders list for someone to accept or reject it. Choose a period longer than the longest leave your people take, or Never if departures should only ever be recorded by hand.
